



Here he is, Hercules! The newest member of our family. He is a Sulcata turtle from the African desert. Right now he is about the size of a Coke can lid, he fits in the palm of your hand. In a year he could be the size of a salad plate, 5 yrs a dinner plate. At 25 yrs, he could be 2 ft. across and 100 lbs! Now he is super easy to take care of, we will worry about the size & weight in 10 yrs. Favorite foods are dandelions, spinach and clover.

I wonder if S.G. would like a turtle. She want a kitty, which isn't happening here. Not ready for a dog yet. Hmmmm...maybe a turtle. He is really cute!
